Othonoi is the biggest of the Diapontia Islands. It is a heavenly island where the natyre combines the Greek sea the mountain. A wonderful place for tourism, ideal for sailing and also for quite holidays. Beautiful churches and traditional houses adorn this island that presents an individual coloring inside the insular group and friendy and hospitable citizens.
Vitzitziatika at the southwestwards offer a really panoramic and picturesque view of the south coasts of the islnd while eastern we can find the scenic and olive tree-wound settlement of Mastadika and from there Kastri where in 1872 was built one of the best and most famous high-intensity lighthouses in Greece. Next to it are saved the ruins of the historic Venetian castle. Northwards, at the top of the homonymous hill imposingly towers the Church of Yperagia Theotokos, the premier church of the island, built on the 17th century and next to it you can see Calypso's Antre, the picturesque cave at the west coast with length of 100 m., in which - according to the tradition Calypso kept captured Odysseus.
